Sponsor an Animal in Need

One of my favorite Animal Rescue Groups is the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They have a great "Sponsor an Animal" program which is a great gift to give an animal lover for the holidays. You can donate once or sponsor an animal over a year's time. Here's a list of all the dogs that could use a little help.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am thankful for so many things this year; my husband James, my dog Abby, my wonderful friends and family, my health, the mountains of Colorado, the fresh air, my long walks...I could go on and on.

The biggest thanks this year is that Abby is still with us. She has fought a long hard battle with her health the past few months...yet she is alive and doing better than she has in a long time. I'm thankful for her beautiful face, her big brown eyes, the way she snuggles her head against my legs, her wagging tail, her sweetness and loyalty. Give your dog a hug today.

Dedicated to Abby

Welcome to my new blog and my first post. I would like to dedicate this blog to my dog, Abby Louise O'Neill who is my best friend, loyal companion, funny, sassy, beautiful dog. She gave me the inspiration to start painting dogs and to create Abby Creek Studios. She is not in great health these days so every day with her now is a supreme gift. Here's to you, my sweet girl.
