Yellow Peppers

"Yellow Peppers"
8" x 8"
acrylic and collage on canvas

From fruit to vegetables this week! Just finished up this painting, "Yellow Peppers". I incorporated some sheet music as collage. My grandmother left me piles of sheet music after she died and I love to use it in my art. She was quite a wonderful piano player too!

Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day weekend. It was a little bittersweet for me because I miss being a dog mama. :(

I love the colours in your painting ... the sheet music is a wonderful touch. I love the red/pink together.

Special times like Mother's Day are difficult because we are reminded of the absence of our canine or feline friends ... they are our children.

Thankfully we carry our memories with us always. I hope you have a good week ... Kate ox

The yellow peppers are such a happy, sunny color -- and like Kate said, I also love the pink and red together. It's really nice that your grandmother's sheet music can find a new life in your art! And the dog quote is so very true.

Wonderful peppers, I love the way you've added the sheet music and then painted it pink to tie in with the cloth.
I love the quote too, we're cat rich, although our little lady is seventeen this year, but she's still getting around

those peppers look real enough to eat and I love the sheet music there in the background.
