New Lemon Painting
Just finished this one yesterday. Kinda makes me want to go make a lemon cake or a lemon meringue pie now!
My friend, Shennon and I are heading to Timeless Creations in Fort Collins tomorrow to take Shari Beaubien's mixed media assemblage workshop. Shari and I have been good blog friend's for about a year now and this will be the first time we actually get to see each other. Yay! I'll take my camera so hopefully will get some good pics of the day.
About the house...we haven't given up hope yet. The reason this is so difficult is that we are dealing with a bank on a house that was foreclosed on. It has been vacant for a year and the bank has no idea how much work the house now needs. Both offers came in at a much lower price than they want for the house...so that's why we're at a standstill. They are re-evaluating and we are just hoping they understand the situation and what the house is actually worth at this point. Banks are banks though...and the bottom line is profit. I'm trying not to stick voo doo pins in my bank man doll just yet...we're still positive that things could turn around. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed!
Hope you have a great weekend! xo

I can't wait to pass along the bank man doll and the voo doo pins to Bob! I'm sure he'll get a kick out of that! I stopped by the bank to see him on the way home today. They were having customer appreciation day at the bank with hot dogs and ice cream. Didn’t catch anyone with any voo doo dolls! Maybe Bob can say a little prayer to the bank God for you!
Hi Linda! I'll keep my fingers crossed for sure about your house -- the waiting part is always so hard. But your lemons are so beautiful -- they look completely real like a photograph -- I want a big cold glass of lemonade now! I hope you have a blast at the Timeless Creations workshop -- I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!
:)
What a lovely bright light on your lemons! Good luck with the bank, hope they see reason.
I hope that the house deal goes through... yes, please! All toes and fingers are crossed as I sit here looking at the lovely lemons. I can almost taste a lemon loaf with a delicious lemon-sugar topping.
Timeless Creations looks as if it will be lots of fun. Please take lots of photos so we can get to experience a bit of the workshop too! Enjoy and here's a hug Kate ox
I'm amazed at how you create such realistic fruit and veg, Linda, you can almost see the oil that squeezes and of the skin and you can definitely smell the lemon. Fabulous work.
