So little Miss Maisie got herself into more trouble on Friday. While I wasn't watching her for a whole two minutes...she managed to push her cast almost completely off her foot! As a result, she couldn't get up and walk on it so I had to scoop all 5o pounds of her up and into the house. I had to cut the rest of it off her foot and SOS James to come home from work so we could get her to the Vet. The above picture of her (at an unusually sedate moment) is with her new cast that now only has the hard part on the bottom and a soft wrap on the top. Our Vet decided it needed some dressing up too so wrote Maisie's name on it with a little flower to make her feel better. Sweet! Man oh man... you really got a rascal there with Maise! Reminds me of the time that Logan had one of her ACL tear surgeries... and I left her without her E-collar on for literally 2 minutes -- and she had ripped open the bandages and torn out all the sutures... I wanted to throw up... very icky!

Oh what a riot... she reminds me of PJ... cant turn your head for a second... her favorite thing is grabbing my arm or my slippers while me feet are still in them to get my attention

Oh Maisie! OK, where is this break? You can tell Miss Maisie, that when whippets have nagging toe injuries, it is NOT uncommon for them to get the toe amputated. Hear THAT Maisie? Chopped off.
Only one of mine, my very first whippet and my heart dog, Gracious, had to have a toe amputated because of a soft tissue injury and a scary bony growth. It was benign scar tissue, thank God, but she never missed that toe!
So. Maisie. Behave!!!!

Maisie just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Lytton commiserates, but admires Maisie's resourcefulness all the same. She's a smart one ... Irish jigs are the best, says Lytton.

ohhhhhhh baby,so sorry your footsie has a boo boo. I would be a looney myself if my "Pee-Pee",aka:Peterpan had a boo boo. We have so many nicknames for this dog as all our pets past and present. Hang in there til lovely footsie is ok.
