Sweet Dog and a New Painting

"Orange Juice"
8" x 10" acrylic and collage on canvas
available on Etsy here

Here's another painting I managed to squeeze in between Maisie patrol. As you know...we went to the Vet last Friday for her one month x-ray. Unfortunately, her toe is not healing as fast as we hoped so she has to wear the cast for another month. Ugg! James and I were pretty upset for our girl when we heard the verdict...but we just have to be patient and hopefully time will go by fast. Yeah right...did I hear someone say MOLASSES!?

I think the photo below of Maisie is so sweet with her paw resting on the cast. You can also see her beautiful eyes so well. She's such a perdy girl.

Delightful! I like the way you have used the primary colors so bold and structured.

Okay... I think Miss Maisie is trying to pull the wool over our eyes in that photo! How could such a sweet face be the cause of sooo much trouble!?!? Love the OJ, by the way!! Hugs, Shari

Hi Linda!
What a beautiful picture of Maisie! I haven't been around for a while and have a lot of pictures to catch up on. I hope poor Maisie mends more quickly for all your sakes! From your Windy City Gang waiting for the big snow storm to hit! : )

AWwwww...I LOVE the Maisie photo. I LOVE the painting, too! Orange juice - YUMMY! You caught the taste of it, somehow in that painting, Linda. It's yummy, too. Poor Maisie's toe. She sure is dignified looking here.

I hope Maisie gets better soon. It's awful when our babies are hurt. Your painting is beautiful. I love the bright colors!

Your backgrounds are always so cool ...my favourite part, although the glass of orange juice looks so good that I want to reach over and pick it up.

Oh Maisie, the sweetheart! Lytton said he would be delighted to play with Maisie and wear her out and then show her all his favourite napping techniques. Another month of a cast - poor girl. That is tough. She has such a beautiful face and looks angelic!!

Oh my goodness, another 4 weeks? Poor dears...

You guys will just have to plan several really special trips to go do fun things after Miss Maisie gets her cast off.

You could go for a long drive to a lake,

or take a (short easy) hike up a mountain,

or have a picnic in the park,

something, anything fun for all 3 of you!

Great to see you are getting some painting in Linda, and I love the shot of Maisie with her legs crossed- it's precious.
