This is Mr. Boomer...the ONE dog painting I was able to work on and finish while "The Maisenator", our new name of endearment for Maisie, was recovering from her broken toe. Boomer belonged to some wonderful friends of ours who live in Priest Lake part of the year, right next door to my Dad. Boomer is no longer with us...but I can imagine what an amazing dog he was. He was an Airedale Terrier...a very smart one who had personality plus and a heart as big as Idaho. Thanks, Bobbie and Jim...for having me paint your special boy.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Before I go...here's a beautiful little taste of spring...
Spring flowers
preach the gospel:
we who have died
are alive today.
We who risked winter
now raise our heads high
to the glorious sun.
Delicate petals,
daughters of resilience,
they call to me,
encouraging the heart
of true believing.

You totally captured him.

Mr. Boomer is just beautiful. I miss him and I never even knew him. You are such a talent.. Hugs..jaYne
Really nice job, Linda! Love his eyes and his little wisps of hair!
Glad your life is getting back to normal!
Boomer is lovely. The eyes are terrific. You really captured this handsome breed. Airedales can really be such clever clowns. They look so regal all the time, and yet they just love to play.
Good job, I am sure Bobbie & Jim will be thrilled with this loving memorial.
Beautiful poem and beautiful painting of Boomer! It's alway nice to have a painting of your pets.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,

My husband and I just loved your painting of Boomer.
He grew up with Airedales so they are close to his heart.
Great job!
Linda, this is gorgeous.
I'm also working on an Airedale. It's definitely a challenge because as I drew the loooong face, I felt that my proportion was off. But it wasn't; they just have long faces!
Boomer looks so soulful in this painting. It's the eyes. Well done!
Love the eyes and the texture in this pieces. Very Airedale. Wonderful
Beautiful painting Linda!
I love the detail, and the expression on his face.
The poem is wonderful too. It's just what I needed today. The hight is only going to be 26!
Hopefully this deep freeze will be over soon.
Stunning all around! What a sweet honoring of Boomer!

Wonderful painting of Boomer! His noble spirit just oozes out of your canvas.
And thank you for sharing that lovely poem.

This painting is absolutely stunning! You really captured so much depth and expression -- and the fur is perfect! Boomer's mom and dad are very lucky to have you make this special memorial for their beloved companion.
YAY!! Absolutely lovely piece. What a pretty fellow! I love your new little blog photo too. What a happy picture!
Have a wonderful week!

Linda, your dog portraits never disappoint, Boomer looks so beautiful and "real". Looks like you could just reach out and touch him. This will be such a special piece for his owners, a nice remembrance for them to have, something they will have forever. That must give you a lot of satisfaction
Linda! What a magnificent painting of the handsome Boomer! WOW! I love it.
What a wonderful painting! Such detail!!
Wow....beautiful!!! You did SUCH a good job on this.

Oh my gosh Linda. This is really incredible. You know what? I think this is your best work ever. And to think it came during a time of all of the Maisie chaos.... maybe she should break her toe more often, lol!
No, sorry, I know that is something we shouldn't even joke about.
Anyway, the piece is incredible Linda, just breathtaking....
Outstanding portrait!!!
I have my own "ater"....my little Keeganater. :-)
