A Slice of Heaven!

My oh my...how time flies. James and I got such a kick out of this. The Bakery made a little mistake with a "Happy 30th" instead of a "Happy 8th". The owner wanted to change it but I told her no...that it was a good omen for what was to come!

We had a wonderful dinner at our favorite restaurant and then came home to indulge in this Italian Cream Cake (Maisie had a nice piece too). I had to take a couple of pictures for Miss Amy...who always entices me with pictures of cake, pie and everything else on her blog. This is for YOU, Amy! By the way...Amy is an incredible Artist so check out her website as well.

James and I want to thank you all for your wonderful Anniversary wishes. They were so warm and funny and sweet and they made our day. You guys are the best! xox

Have a good Tuesday!

I love that story!
It looks so yummy! I can just see Maisie with frosting on her nose.
Have a wonderful day! I am off to go and see Amy's art!

That there is a good lookin' cake! Thanks for fully documenting the baked goodness that was part of your 8th--ahem, 30th!--anniversary. May there be many, many more! And, of course, more cake ;) Thanks for the shout-out, too.

Happy 30th Linda...oops, I mean
8th , to you and your husband.

That is so funny. When I first read that cake I was like...woa..you have been married 30 years, come on, you look WAY too young. : )

Hi Linda:

Gosh, I've missed so much in your life since I've been out of the general blog realm for quite a while.

Happy belated Anniversary to you both... and happy cake eating to Maisie.

I think about you often.

The cake looks yummy, but I can't stop looking at the plate. I love it. Is it Williams-Sonoma? (I'm such a dork!)

p.s. For some reason your cake story popped into my mind last night as I was going to sleep. And I had the realization that maybe the baker subconsciously knew you fell in love 30 years ago and it is not a mistake at all -- maybe on a cosmic level it's true!
