New painting and a silly dog

"Last One From the Tree"
7" x 12" acrylic on canvas
available in my Etsy Shop here

Happy dance!...finally finished a new still life. This one took me awhile to complete. I changed the background several times until I was happy with it. I thought I was finished yesterday...but when James looked at it and said, "Hey, your new still life is really coming along."...I decided I'd better put a little more elbow grease into it. He always seems to be right too, dang it!

It was a beautiful, sunny day here. Maisie wanted to put a smile on your face...and let you know that spring is on it's way. Here's the little Diva herself...

Maisie, does Maui Jim know you borrowed his shades? You are such a cutey, we bet you keep your mom smiling just about all day long. Linda, love the still life, it just sings with color!

You could fool me with Spring being around the corner...It's going down into the 20's tonight....This is the South!!! It's unnatural for it to be in the 20's.....But I'm happy for Maizie that it's warming by you....

Wow... the colors are awesome! Colors have always been a challenge for me. Maisie is such a sweetie. I just want to scratch her behind the ear!

And a Diva she is! She is definitely looking very hot in her shades! I wish I could hug her. She's so sweet.

Don't you hate that kind of comment! Poor John has to walk on egg shells when he comes home from work to see what I have done for the day.
The colors are great in this one-great job!

Wow! Bare ground and sunglasses! We're so jealous! There's no end in sight of winter here in Maine. But your cheerful colors sure brighten things up!

Linda:

Oh how I adore the non-traditional color of the christmas ornament. I actually have a set of bulbs just about that color!

If Maisie likes sunshine, she should come and visit Jr. and Homer. It was 86 here yesterday!

Maisie is so sweet Linda...I hope you are right, I'm sure ready for spring to be here.

Love your still life, the ornament is so real...it is beautiful. Your skill makes it looks easy but I know very well that it is not. Beautiful work.
