A Fabulous Frenchie!

"Woodford"
13" x 16" acrylic on canvas

Here's my latest commission...of Woodford, the French Bulldog. He's sitting on his purple blanket...looking up with his big beautiful brown eyes. What a perfect name for a perfect Frenchie too, don't you think? It was a real joy to paint this little man!

Below is the bounty I collected from our vegetable garden last night. It looked so beautiful in the bowl that I had to take a picture for you. Most of it will be gone soon...hot off the grill...heading for my stomach. Grilled organic vegetables and fish, some good bread and a chilled glass of chardonney...doesn't get much better than that!

Have a wondeful Labor Day weekend!

I can almost taste those veggies done up with olive oil, garlic, white wine, and a dash of balsamic vinegar
over pasta.

I am the owner of the Frenchie, Woodford, and I wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments and thank Linda for the wonderful job of capturing Woodford's spirit. My husband and I got Woodford at 8 weeks old and only had him a very short time. He was taken from us way too soon on May 20, 2009 from an acute pancreatitis attack. An autospy was performed but no idea what caused it. We are very sad to have lost him at only 21 months old.

Linda also painted my Bogey which you will see in ETSY sitting on the same blanket. Bogey is my Jack Russell who passed away in 2008 at 10 years of age.

I have one Jack Russell now named Parson and she is a remarkable 15 years old and I have another Frenchie, Hayden, who is 18 months old. Hayden misses Woodford very much.

Woodford and Hayden are named after 'bourbons' in case you are wondering! Woodford Reserve and Basil Hayden!
