Transitioning

"Floating Above"
12" x 13" acrylic and collage on canvas

Well, it took me a little longer than I planned to get back to blogging! I have to say though that this time away has really allowed me to focus more deeply on how I want to paint. I feel like I've made a pretty big transition in style.

The painting above began the process for me. In school, when my Art Professors were critiquing a series of my work, they would often say..."Linda, that's your transition piece". It was always a turning point that would lead me in a new direction...usually one that would help to make me a better Painter. This is my transition piece.

I would love to get your feedback as I go along in showing you this series of new work. I always appreciate your comments and value your opinions.

James and I are heading to California tomorrow to visit my mom but I'll be back on Monday to share another new painting with you.

In the meantime, I hope you're all doing well and having a great summer. I've missed you!...xox

Hi Linda, nice to see you back. I love "Floating above" it is gorgeous and I love the vivid colors, it really pops.

I just had a pet sitter over the other day who was admiring your pet portraits of Dudley and Snugs. :)
