Are you wearing green today?

Maisie Rose O'Neill - Irish girl

Maisie is! Let me promise you though that no dog was harmed with dyes during the making of this post. Geez, don't they have anything better to do in Boulder?!

Hope that you all have a lovely St. Patrick's Day. My hubby, (Chef JJ as he's know around these parts) was busy last night making Irish soda bread and colcannon for tonights dinner. You know, the O'Neill's take St. Patty's Day pretty seriously...so there has to be a celebration. We'll be taking the bread and potatoes to the Mooney's (another good Irish name) where it will meet up with corned beef and cabbage (blech for THIS vegetarian!)...and we will toast to the good luck of the coming spring. Here's a little blessing for all of you today...

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

Happy St. Patrick's!

Being an O'Neill...I couldn't let today go without wishing you all a Happy St. Patty's Day! At this very minute James is down in the kitchen cooking up Colcannon and Irish Soda Bread to bring to our Irish friend's, The Mooney's tonight.

Something you probably didn't know about me too...is that I am a nut about Boston Terriers. I used to have one as a child...named Jiggs. He was the sweetest thing ever (besides Abby of course)...and I have such warm memories of him. This photo is from a great Boston site called
"The Gem Sisters". There are some fabu photos of Boston Terrier sisters; Ruby, Opal and Diamond. This cutie pie above is Ruby.

So let me leave you today with this little Irish blessing...

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
