Abby Louise

Our hearts are broken today...we had to let our sweet girl, Abby go last night. The cortisone helped a little for a couple of days but then she got worse. Yesterday she could hardly sit up and was in pain so James and I could not let her continue to suffer. Our Vet came to the house last night so that Abby could drift peacefully away by her favorite blue chair in the living room.

We are so sad today and miss her more than words can describe. She was the most beautiful, special, sweet dog and we loved her with all of our hearts...and then some.

Thank you all so much for your kind, caring support this past week. It meant so much to both of us...and helped more than you know.

Please keep Abby in your thoughts today and keep her in the light.

Until we meet again, my sweet girl...your papa and I will always love you.

Linda, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know that there's nothing I can say to make you feel better. How lucky Abby was to have you and that you were brave enough and self-less enough to let her go. She's no longer in pain.

I will be thinking of you and praying for you. I know your heart aches, but you had no other choice but to let her leave her pain behind.

Take care of yourself:

So very sorry Linda, we've gone through this three times ourselves, so I know how it feels, they leave such a large hole in our lives, fortunately it heals over with time and leaves us with wonderful memories, of having been blessed with their presence in our lives.

My sincerest, deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and you family Linda...Oh, what heartbreaking news. Sweet Abby is no longer in pain and is free to run to her hearts content and chase rabbits all day long. I know you will miss her terribly...

Linda-
She was a brave girl and loved you both very much. I am sure she will visit you both in your dreams. Her spirit will not be far away at all.
My heart is with you,

I wish I had something inspirational to say. Or something soothing, or even something funny. I don't.

All I have to say is this: Blessed be Abby; you have earned your rest. I wish your parents all the time and space they need to grieve your loss and find the peace that only a dog would wish for them.

I am so very sorry.
