Bright Green Limes

"Limes"
6" x 6" acrylic and paper on canvas

This painting (I just finished today) makes me want a mondo margarita...Especially since the temperature in Boulder, Colorado is close to 100 degrees. Yikes!

Since the theme today is green (yes, I just made that up)...here's another beauty from Joyce Rupp, taken from "Rest Your Dreams on a Little Twig". Enjoy...

Green sings
like no other
color.

Green rings
my heart round
with the starlight
of laughter,
the dance
of enthusiasm.

Green brings
vibrant shoots
of energy
laced with passion.

Green flings
bouquets of dreams
meant to come true.
~Joyce Rupp

Gorgeous! And so...what word am I looking for?....tropical! I love the paper you used for the background (I'm assuming that part is collaged; forgive me if I'm wrong). Gorgeous!

Oh, this is wonderful -- my mouth is watering for limes. I love anything with lime juice in it. Linda, this painting is juicy and sunny and happy! And the orange background with the flowers goes so well with the green. I also really like the Joyce Rupp poem you included. Very nice!

What a lovely piece... so fresh and wonderful. And I love the poem (I know Dotee will too, since this is her favorite color!) When I was little, it was my mom's favorite color so of course it was mine too... Still love it! And your piggy-poo below is precious!

Your green limes certainly do sing. Your backgrounds always bring a smile to my face. I have always loved green and for the past two summers have added two pairs of green sandals to my collection.

Linda, this is great, my mouth is still watering! I love limes!! Speaking of limes, Bob just told me he has a rum and coke waiting for me in the other room! Boy, he sure knows how to get me away from the computer! Gotta go!

Is all that intricate work in the background done with acrylic on a tiny paintbrush?! I like your icy looking juicy lime.

Love the limes Linda, the background design is great too. Did you paint it or is it collaged? Either way it so compliments the limes.
