A new painting, the workshop & the house

"Fiesta Cup"
5.5" x 6.5" acrylic and collage on paper
available for purchase here

Three bits of news to share...one being the above painting I just completed. Seems I'm on a bit of a yellow theme lately.

Secondly, Shennon and I had a great time at Shari Beaubien's mixed media workshop on Saturday. It was so great to finally meet Shari...she is just the sweetest person...and was so gracious and open to all of us in the class. I would highly recommend taking a class from her...she's a super teacher. The workshop was a blast plus it was also very well planned and organized. Shari readily shares her wealth of knowledge and her enthusiasm...I learned a lot!
Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures and this was really the only one that came out very well. Shari might have some on her blog in the next couple of days. Hi Shari!

And last but not least...a house update. Well, let's just say...I wish I HAD one! Our agent, Kathy thinks we may hear something by tomorrow. Say a little house juju prayer for us...we're not out of the game just yet!

Have a good Monday. xo

Oh my gosh this house thing must be making you and James crazy! I am very bad at 'sitting with the unknown' so I know I would be a nervous wreck, lol. Hopefully the painting helps you take your mind off things a bit. LOVE the lemons- they are my favorite fruit and I want to reach into your new stillife and grab one and eat it whole. :-)

I really want a yellow mug like that one! Have faith that if this is the right house for you, it will work out! I know the waiting is difficult. We've been there (recently)! take care

The yellow mug looks wonderful with the pink and red ... I love when you incorporate those colours into your work!

I have been sending lots of good thoughts your way ... hoping, hoping that the house deal goes through. That would be wonderful.

I'm glad the workshop was loads of fun ... the picture turned out great!

Hi Linda! Great photo of you! And your happy-yellow cup with the beautiful collage is terrific! The handle on the cup is really cute -- I really like the roundness of it. The workshop sounds like it was a lot of fun! I am still crossing my fingers for luck on your house -- Moose is doing the same.
:)

Thanks for the write-up, Linda! Maybe we should have a contest to figure out who was happier to meet who? (kidding...) xoxo, Shari
