Houses and Headaches!

Our new house, maybe

I love when James draws little gems like the one above...this one of our new house. He often scribbles visuals like this for me with a note attached in the wee hours of the morning before he goes off to row. Even though my Picasso man did a good job here...I will post some real photos if the deal goes through.

We had all the inspections on the house done this week...so now we go back to the bank and ask for compensation for the things that need immediate repair. James and I can't believe this has been going on for two months now. I think we need some closure soon one way or another. And by the way...thanks to all of you who left such great comments about the house and the train. You helped a lot!

Amazingly enough...I was also able to finish Jefe the Parrot this week. Today, I add some final highlights and then will email him off to his person for final approval. I'm excited to show him to you. Soon! In the meantime...Big Red below will keep you entertained. By the way...did you ever see the movie, "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill"? It's a wonderful film.

Have a great weekend! xo

Hey Linda, cannot wait to see your painting. Hang in there with the house..it seems like such a long and tedious process but it will be worth it once it is yours. Keep your eyes on the prize

Linda,

I can't wait to see the parrot painting. Cute parrot photo. It's funny, now I can see the parrot in my abstract painting! fun.

Can't wait to see your new painting. First time visiting, and just love your art work! We are't too far from train tracks, and actually enjoy the sounds (my two year old son is thrilled with each choo-choo he hears) there is something calming about the rumble and whistle- sounds of a by-gone era!

Hi Linda!

I cannot wait to see your new painting! Gilbert says he can lift a barbell like that too if it was made of a toothpick with blueberries on the ends. :) Emmitt says that he calls the blueberries when he puts it down.

Linda, I can't wait to see your new painting. I smile as I hear Phoenix, our peach face conure talking to herself in the great room. Okay, now she is screaming, she knows Daddy is home! Speaking of home, good luck with the house! I can't wait to see some real pictures! I'm sure everything will be worth the wait!

I am so hoping the bank agrees and you get the house - it would be wonderful!

The parrot photograph is hilarious. It made me laugh ... and then I tried to imagine coaxing Lytton into doing the same. (Maybe if I disguised the weight as a stuffed animal or with treats!)

I'm looking forward to seeing your painting...
happy weekend to you! kate ox

Work those neck muscles Big Red! Hang in there with the house, I'm sure whatever happens, it's for the best. 2 years ago we went back and forth, back and forth on a house for over a month, in the end they wouldn't budge, and neither would we. We walked away from it & the next week I found out I was pregnant. The house was only a 2 bedroom, whew...glad we didn't get it! :)

Wonderful film, indeed, and a wonderful post, Miss Linda. Love james's drawing. That house has a lot of garage! One garage and one paintings studio, I presume? Still crossing my fingers over here for you!

Hi Linda! James' drawing is really cute -- I like the squiggly smoke coming out of the chimney! I'm still sending lots of good energy your way for the house. And I did see "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" - what a cool movie!
