New Cherry Still Life

"Two Cherries"
6" x 7" acrylic on canvas

Good Monday mornin' to ya! Here's my latest Still Life. I have two very dear people in my life who absolutely LOVE cherries...so this was painted with you in mind, Mom and Kathleen!

Don't have many words spilling out of me at the moment. Think it's time for a morning walk to get the creative juices flowing. It's nice and cool and fall-like here today. I love it!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. xo

Hi Linda!
I LOVE the cherries! The stem at the top is perfect too. Emmitt says it looks like a pug tail to him and he LOVES cherries.

Linda, another beauty. I love to eat cherries, they are a favorite of mine. Yours looks so real and so yummy, makes me want to reach out and try to grab them. :)

I love cherries! You have nailed them, because now I am hungry for some.

These are cool ... the cherry colour is perfect. I like the way the light hits them too.

Love the cherries, sweet thing. And don't worry about the words... they'll come when they're ready.

Hi Linda! Awesome cherries! You totally captured their beautiful skins and the variations of color! And the joined stems are very sweet. The yellow background is so sunny and pretty. Great job! They look real enough to eat!

Hi Linda,

I can just imagine sinking my teeth into them.

Cherries mean Christmas to me! The only time we ever had cherries was at Christmas time, which is summer here, & then only a small quantity. In Queensland, where I live, cherries grow only where it's cooler, eg the Stanthorpe area I think, way down south near the border of New South Wales.

I love cherries, too - and I can see a real love of line in the shape of stems & curl at the top - adds a jaunty look!
Glad I found your blog!
