Happy House
I guess the ol' mind/body connection did me in this week as I've had a nasty cold the last few days. I was so upset about the whole house deal that I think my immune system crashed and let all those buggie boos in. At least I'm better now...after 10 boxes of kleenex!
I did the above piece last Tuesday. I guess I needed to paint a "happy" house...one that James and I will find soon in our future. I was inspired by two very wonderful artists...Ro Bruhn, who sent me the beautiful hand painted paper peeking through the background AND Jamie Johnson, who's paintings of houses I just adore.
Have a nice weekend! xo

Love this! So whimsical and uplifting! You are sure to find your perfect home soon... somewhere where there are plenty of walls to hang your beautiful artwork!
Feel better soon!
Get well dear Linda. Your perfect new home will come to you soon I am sure. This is a great little painting.
Love the house Linda, I'm so glad you were able to find a use for the papers, I love the way you've used the colour. Thanks for linking my blog.
Good luck with the house hunting, the right one will turn up when you least expect it.

Now that is a beautiful house - full of joy and of life! The colours are vibrant and wonderful ... you will find an even better, more magical house ... Lytton says so!
I hope you continue to heal - the whole house waiting had to have been stressful!
Happy, healthier weekend to you,
hugs from Lytton and me too!
i love house paintings, and yours is indeed a happy house, so bright and shining, beautiful!
i'm sorry about your house that never was :-(
and hope your immune system quickly gets strong and healthy again. (and thank goodness for kleenex, right?! what in the world did our ancestors do without it...)

Nothing like some color to cheer you up! LOVE THIS PIECE!!!
Hi Linda! I hope your cold is much better. You're probably right about your immune system taking a hit with the stress of the house situation. But I LOVE the house you painted!! It does look like a happy house -- such cheerful colors and details. Even the clouds look happy!
