Jefe the Parrot

"Jefe"
13" x 16" acrylic on canvas

Here's the finished painting of Jefe...in all his perdy birdiness. He gets varnished today and shipped to his Mom in New Jersey tomorrow.

And check out this amazing African Grey Parrot on YouTube...it'll get your day going in a good way. What a smart girl she is!

Happy October 1st!

Is Jefe a hyacinth macaw? He sure looks like one. They are so beautiful and so is his painting! I love the background! Great job! My friend has an African Grey and they are truly amazing.

Jefe is awesome!! You captured the feathers brilliantly, which I imagine was no small feat, and the colors are so vibrant. The hibiscus flowers look so delicate- like you can just reach in and feel the soft petals between your fingertips. Really fantastic Linda.

You have made me want to go out and get an African Grey parrot! Although I fear that the moment any bird is left alone with Ms. Ferguson he/she will quickly become a little pile of feathers, lol. ;-)

Hope the house situation is going well!

Jefe is gorgeous, Linda. Check out a post on one of my favorite blogs I read on the same day I read yours. Great blogs post alike!
