Mardi Gras Maisie!

"Where's the Party?"
12" x 12" acrylic, glass beads, ink on canvas

Hi everyone...sorry I've been awol for a week without a post. I've been working hard on this painting and the new website. I just finished the above piece yesterday for an auction that is coming up to support Bernie Berlin's A Place to Bark. About 20+ of us Dog Artists from around the country are donating an original work...with the theme, Party Animal. Can you guess who my beautiful model was? I will be back with more details on when and where you can bid on these pieces as soon as I hear more from our illustrious organizer and fellow participating Artist, Jill Beninato.

One reason it's been extra busy around here is that James and I are leaving for Hawaii this Saturday...and you KNOW how it gets before a trip! We're having a week long family reunion thingie on Maui. We're both looking forward to getting away for a bit and enjoying some nice, warm weather and no snow! Alright already with the snow!

I'll be back in touch the week after Easter Sunday. Wishing you all a wonderful spring week ahead! xox

We did miss you but you were busy for a good cause so no worries. Love this Party Animal. You're so talented and generous.

I am jealous that you're going to Maui. I might feel better if you promise to post photos....

Hi Linda!

I love Maisie the party dog! I am also finding it VERY interesting that the art I just posted on my blog is also about Mardi Gras. Hmmm... I guess great minds DO think alike!

You're going to my old stomping grounds!!! Maui! Where we lived for almost four years. How fantastic! Have a great time, and say hello to the ocean for me.

As I type this on a dark and dreary day in New Jersey, I'm thinking of you in Maui. I hope you are having a blast!!

This portrait of Maisie is fabulous. She looks so great against that violet....and I want that mask for myself!

XOXO
