The Delightful Dudley!

"Dudley in the Sheets"
8"x 8" acrylic on canvas

This is my latest dog portrait...of Dudley, Shitz Tzu extraordinaire! Dudley is one of three Shitz Tzu's who are lucky enough to live with my friend and wonderful Artist, Ruth Welter. I saw a picture of Dudley on one of Ruth's blog posts awhile back...and just had to paint the little man as a thank you gift for her. The way he takes over the sheets before laundry time really cracks me up. His expression looks to me though like he's about ready to take those sheets and tear around the house with them. Well, that's what Maisie would do anyway!

Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend. It rained a lot here...but the garden is lovin' it!

Oh. My. Gosh. This is fantastic! I love the expression, I love the fur (or is it called *hair* on a Shih Tzu?), and I love the composition! This made my day. Great job!

Love the cherries, too!

Linda, I am so thrilled with the painting you did of little Dudley, it is just breathtaking. You captured his eyes and expression so well, it is all perfect. His eyes really do appear to follow you around my living room where ever you walk or sit. I just will treasure it forever.

It means so much to me, I look at it every day so many times. Thank you for your friendship and kindness. Hugs.

I must admit, I actually burst out in laughter when I saw the painting of Dudley! Shitz Tzus are funny looking little dogs anyway, but the expression on Dudley's face is absolutely hilarious! Thanks for a good giggle.

HI Linda!
Beautiful coat and expression! What a lovely gesture of kindness. Ruth is a lucky gal! We are getting tons of rain here and I hope it doesn't drown my little veggies!

I'm so glad you stopped by. I know I've been so bad about blogging lately but so many things have been going on lately. Some good some bad. Glad to still have you as a blogger friend.
