The Maisie Chronicles, continued...

Hi everyone! Well, Maisie has a story to tell today. She wanted you to know that she's kept me pretty busy this past week taking care of her with a bum leg. Somehow, our little athlete tweaked her back left leg pretty badly so she had to stay off of it for a few days. She had some x-rays taken and they didn't show a break or tear anywhere so we were very grateful for that. Keeping Maisie busy and happy when she can't exercise though is quite the challenge! Lots of frozen bones, stuffed treats, lovey dovey attention AND some doggie sedatives did the trick. She's now up and running full speed ahead...and I do mean full speed!

Below is a new abstract landscape painting I just finished. I didn't really start out thinking "landscape" on this one...but that seems to be the direction my abstracts are taking. I'm enjoying the process though and the shift in my usual color schemes.

"Eclipse"
5" x 7" acrylic and collage on canvas
available in my Etsy shop here

Back soon with news on a new Art Zine you'll really want to have for your very own!

Eclipse is just gorgeous. Even though it's not your usual color scheme I think it really works well!

I'm glad Maisie is doing better!!

Maisie Maisie drives us...
straight into our best selves because of who she is.

She's very lucky to have a guardian like you.

I want to see more of these Linda. There's a lot of power here.

I like your post title. I created a blog called "The Rosie Chronicles" back when we adopted her, but haven't even created a header for it, let alone a single post! Oh well. One of these days...

I'm sorry to hear Maisie was under the weather. My mom's dog Abby has a kneecap issue and has to be inactive (and away from my dog) for a month. So sad!

Eclipse is absolutely stunning! Well done! Such a rich black.

Love the new abstracts in this post and the one below Linda...you are so creative with these pieces.

Your poor Maisie, I'm sorry to hear she hurt her leg. I can imagine keeping her off of it was not an easy job.

Linda, congrats on the dog publication with Miss Manon, your success is inspirational! Give Maisie a sympathetic hug and keep one for yourself. Howie's in the PRISONCRATE with the cone of shame for six weeks after knee surgery and I know Mama stress is also part of the mix...thank goodness for those meds and chewies. Beautiful abstract! it is true to your palette!
hugs...

Poor Maisie and her bum leg...Boo has a bad front leg that we have to put an Ace bandage on and now the poor things back legs are starting to shake....Nothing worse then seeing something wrong with a pet that can't tell you if it hurts.....as for an animal story I just wrote one on my blog and think you might get a good laugh...if your looking for a good laugh....Sue.

I think your work with black is brave and fabulous. And oh Maisie, she is such an uber-jock she over does it sometimes. Glad she is feeling better.
