"Oscar"11" x 14" acrylic and collage on canvas Here he is...one of Maisie's best dog park friends, Oscar! Oscar knows how to play with the big dogs and doesn't take any sass. He's a St. Bernard in a tiny Boston Terrier body! The photo of Oscar that I worked from is below.
And congrats to Christine from
I Heart Dogs ...she guessed that I was painting a Boston Terrier from the hint I gave in my
last post. I'll be sending you some greeting cards of Oscar soon, Christine!
The real Oscar!James and I are heading to California tomorrow morning to visit family for a few days. Take care of your sweet selves and I'll be back next week!

Woo hoo! I'm psyched to be a winner! Thank you in advance for the cards!
Dog park buddies are the best! Oscar's portrait is fabulous. I worked on a Boston portrait today, and seeing Oscar is inspiring me to finish it.
I also enjoyed your "Snippets" post. I, too, have a bunch of monotypes from art school. They are sitting in a drawer. Now I want to chop them up and re-purpose them. Thanks for the idea!
XOXO

Very cute-Bostons are so cool!

Oscar is so sweet...he looks like a sweetie. Ms. Masie looks sweet also. I really like all the dogs you have painted. Come check my dog Toby out...if you would like to use his photo for one of your paintings, feel free to do so.
Cheers,
Mary
Great portrait and use of color. Dang, he's cute!
Oscar looks like a real gentleman. I like your portrait better than the photo. It has much more personality!
You've captured Oscar perfectly! So cute!
Linda! What a fun surprise- Oscar on canvas! And he looks so much more handsome in your painting. Thank you. Maxx might want this for an altar piece. There is no end to his express adoration of his idol!!
