The Whole Shebang

"Day's Sweet Song"

30" x 30" acrylic and collage on canvas

As promised...here is my newest painting...unsnippeted! I found a new Golden paint color that I'm loving...Quinacridone Magenta. The color is so brilliant and rich and it has a nice transparency to it that I can build on.

On another note...I'm honored to be the featured artist on the Paws for Charity blog today! Remember, when you're getting ready to buy those holiday gifts...the Paws for Charity Art Book and/or Calendar is a perfect gift for any animal lover in your life. It's also a great way to help in the fight against breast cancer.

Hope you're enjoying some beautiful Fall color wherever you are!

Wow - Abby, this is just GORGEOUS! The colours are singing! It really is an eye catcher - If it were hanging in an art gallery, it would definitely be demanding all of the attention :0)

Gorgeous painting Linda, I love it. Congrats on being featured on Paws For Charity.

Thanks also for your well wishes for little Dudley, he is better now and back to his old self. Nice also to know someone else that Vestibular Disease hit....it is a very freaky disease, just glad it is curable.

I'm a sucker for magenta. And I love that patterned section in the upper right. It draws me in, almost hypnotizes me. Looks like you are really having fun with these pieces. I know you have a big studio, but some of your canvases are HUGE! Is it color, color everywhere in the studio? That's how I imagine it, which makes me smile. ; )
