Maisie in the News!

Who's that little beauty (bottom left picture) on the front page of the Boulder Daily Camera today? Yep...it's Maisie Rose! The Camera did a story on the Wisdom Panel DNA Test and wanted photos of a few unusual looking dogs (Maisie prefers the term "stunning") that had gone through the process. They contacted our Vet and our Vet immediately thought of Miss Maisie. You can read the rest of the article here.

I guess I need to start thinking about adding an "in the press" page for her on my website. I don't want it to go to her head though...she's already acting a little diva'ish this morning after seeing her name in print! Yee gads...a star is born...

Chocolate Milk Anyone?

This is a painting I just finished today in my "Milk" series? Not sure I will really continue with this series (a big series of two now)...but I will probably do a few more variations. Call me strange, but I find painting a glass of milk very soothing and somewhat nourishing. You can find my first milk painting if you look on the Other Art page of my website, second row...fifth painting.

Then there is this little beauty above, Miss Maisie Rose. What could she be standing in? If you guessed snow...you be right! It's been snowing here in Boulder today. They say if you don't like the weather in Boulder...you should just wait a minute because it takes about that long for it to change. That's good...because that's about how much patience I usually have for things. HA!

No house...sad girl

The title of the above image "Bummersville" pretty much describes my mood today! We didn't get the house. Let's just say the bank really screwed us over by accepting another offer without even addressing our counter offer. And we were the first people to be under contract with them. All in all...I can honestly say that it's been a very negative experience so if you are thinking of buying a foreclosed on home...run the other way! The good thing is that this is over now so James and I do feel relief. We just have to get up and dust off our real estate pants and start over again. We know that eventually we will find something right for us...and even better! Thanks to all of you who have been so thoughtful with your support through this. It has meant so much to me.

On a more pleasant note...James and I went to the new Anthropologie store in Boulder the other day and it was a real feast for the eyes! I saw the below Greyhound print there. It was very large and commanding hanging on the wall...and really beautiful. It was printed on hand woven paper. I'm starting my Christmas list now.

Picnic in the Park

HAD to show you these pics of Abby and my mom. The weather is gorgeous here today so we headed out for a picnic at Chautauqua...a beautiful park near the Flatirons in Boulder.

Abby is feeling much better today. Seems the Deramaxx meds we put her back on last Friday are really helping. Her blood tests came back with low thyroid as well...so that may have contributed to her weak back end. She already takes a thyroid med so we will just increase those to two pills a day.

All in all...my baby is feeling better. These photos make me well up because she looks so happy. Nothing could make ME happier.

We had a great picnic...then Grandma bought Abby a Dairy Queen on the way home. Abby was in doggy bliss!
