Art Girl says TGIF!

"Internal Combustion Girl"
5" x 6" acrylic and collage on canvas
it's available for sale ~ email me

This is "Internal Combustion Girl"...a small painting I did last year. This girl is always on fire and thinking about art. Don't really know why I wanted to post her today other than I like her and it's been a good art day!

I was also fortunate enough to meet a new artist friend today that you should know about. Her name is Melissa Langer and she is a fellow dog artist who does some wonderful work. Melissa and I recently discovered that we lived only ten minutes from each other...so we met for coffee this morning and had a great time. Especially for all of you Pug lovers out there...you should visit her site PugNotes.com. She has some fantastic Pug art and Pug products...very original and whimsical...inspired by her cute as a button Pug, Emmitt. I get to meet him next time. Yay!

Hope you all had a good art day too! Have a fun, relaxing weekend. xo

Internal Combustion girl is cool. She reminds me of me—but she's thinner. Ha!....How cute are Melissa's Pugs? Makes me want one, but for now I'll settle for the pug that I'm painting this weekend (ironically)....Just got the latest BARK and your ad with Frankie looks fantastic. Jumps off the page!

"Internal Combustion Girl" is very cool!! Hot too!! I love the flames and the look on her face -- she looks like she's got a great personality. Linda, your paintings are all so fantastic and filled with color and life and whimsy!

The look in the Internal combustion girl's eyes is wonderful. She means business, even if it is a Friday. There are definitely places to go, things to do and people to see planned for her weekend.

Your backgrounds are so wonderful! Hope your weekend has been a good one ... kate oxo

So glad to read about your "good" art day, Linda! You deserve that. Happy, too, that you had a good lunch. Fun piece, by the way!! Hugs, Shari

I like funky art girl! With her black body & stand out top. She seems to be strutting, saying, watch out! I've got my art head on today! :)

A different style but I like it, nice piece Linda. Glad you met a fellow artist who lives so close, it's nice to share ideas and coffee of course.

This is fun! Your blog always inspires me to embrace my artist within and reminds me to do art for me. Melissa is way cool, I wish I lived close enough to join you gals for lunch someday. She is another great business gal that seems to make time for her own personal art too.
