San Diego Bound!

Well, LOOK who I found in the bean bag chair today! Miss Maisie seems to have a preference for cushy mushy comfort. I think red might be her color.

I'm a little freaked out as James and I have to go to San Diego for two days and I miss Maisie already. We are heading to the Del Coronado Hotel to celebrate his parent's 60th wedding anniversary. They met there 61 years ago at a USO dance and have been together ever since. Fortunately though...we have a dog sitter extraordinaire (Mary) who will be staying here with Maisie. She was Abby's dog sitter and we just love her. That eases my mind a bit...but I'll still miss my little squirt.

Sorry I've been so lax about commenting on your blogs lately. With Maisie, my brother visiting and now the San Diego trip...my head is spinning. I should be able to land my feet again this weekend and get back to a more normal routine. I've missed you all!

Have a good rest of the week. Maisie sends kissies.

Hey Linda, I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. Maisie will be fine. In fact, I heard it is good to take trips after a new doggies has adjusted, it lets them understand that you cannot always be home with them and that you will return each time you go away.

Have a great trip. I stayed at that hotel when I was 17. I was seeing my 20 year old boyfriend off as he returned to the Navy. I still do not understand why my parents let me go ...whatever, we had fun.

Have a good time ... your new girl will be fine.

I hope you have a great time in San Diego. It's hard to leave Maisie, but thankfully you have a good dog sitter. That makes it so much easier to leave for a few days... besides Maise will be so happy to see you on your return!

Maisie looks comfy and beautiful lounging in the red chair. Red suits her to perfection.

(I am busily knitting a scarf for L ... you have me the idea ... because L. was tagged by a cat friend. I'm hoping the weather warms up so I can get some better pictures of him romping about in the snow.

Linda: I am so behind on my blogging, I didn't even know that you had Maisie. I am so happy for you and James and Maisie too. I am actually shedding a tear or two for you right now. I'm emotional in general lately, but this news is so wonderful!! I know you'll always love Abby, but you also have so much to give Maisie.

When I get through this current set of events that are taking place in my life right now, I think I'd like to make a paper doll of Maisie too!!

I'll talk to you more about it later.

And...by the way, Maisie is gorgeous. I have never seen a German Shepard/Whippet mix. I love the subtle stripes.

Take care:
